Ground Waves was always my go-to store. When it went up for sale I was still living in Ottawa and cottaging on weekends. Life was busy, 5 kids, grand-kids, aging parents, and a husband with a busy career. Barb Woods my very good friend bought it. Fast forward 4 years, the store was for sale and the timing was right. We were living at the lake full-time and I was bored. It was my turn to embark on a new journey!I grabbed my daughter Megan and twisted her arm. Megan had retail experience. I had sales experience and was a great shopper.
How hard could it be? With the help of the previous owners, we set sail.
Our goal is to bring a unique shopping experience for everyone. We focus on Canadian, local artists, and merchandise. Educational toys, no weapons - Grandma doesn't get in trouble shopping at our shop. Fun and whimsy, refined and eclectic sums us up. There is something for everyone at Ground Waves. We are constantly evolving and feature products from coast to coast to coast. We have our own west coast scout.We are a family-owned business that has joined forces with Lanark Community Living and The Table. We believe in paying a
